Mother speaks about her child’s ordeal
The suspects, who are all still wanted by police, abducted by the girl to the graveyard where she was raped, assaulted and left to die.

MBOMBELA – Our communities and the country at large continue to experience a big increase in the number of underage girls being sexually abused by adult men.
This not only affects the lives of the victims but also that of their parents.
A mother whose 13-year-old-daughter was raped and assaulted by three men and left her for dead near the graveyard in Pienaar, is one of many who struggle to come to terms with her child’s ordeal.
The incident happened in April this year.
It is alleged that the girl was playing with her peers when a car with unknown occupants stopped and called the girl.
The suspects, who are all still wanted by police, abducted by the girl to the graveyard where she was raped, assaulted and left to die.
The girl succeeded to make her way back home late that night when a stranger gave her a lift and dropped her at her mother’s house. “I was still awake and when I opened the door my child stood there with a swollen face and blood stained clothes.”
“To this day I still ask myself why they did this to her. At times I asked God why He allowed it to happen to such a small child ,” she cried.
She told this Mpumalanga News journalist how difficult it was to cope with the experience.
The matter was reported to the nearest police station on the same night where a case was opened.
Lt Jabu Ndubane urged these victims to visit the GRIP offices at their nearest police stations were they can get proper counselling and others government structures including social workers and clinical psychologists, who can also help.
They can further join prayer groups at their churches to seek for God’s comfort and healing of their broken hearts.
