Man survives buffalo attack
The man who sustained serious injuries after having been trampled by a buffalo near Ulusaba Rock Lodge on Saturday, is in a stable condition.
SABI SANDS – The man who sustained serious injuries after having been trampled by a buffalo near Ulusaba Rock Lodge on Saturday, is in a stable condition.
Mr Thaimon Jack Sibuyi is confirmed to be a animal tracker at the reserve and was walking with tourists when the incident occurred. He sustained injuries on his thigh, back, abdomen and face when the old buffalo bull attacked him.
Paramedics had to apply advanced medical treatment to stabilise him before he was airlifted to Mediclinic Neslpruit.
Ms Berdine Malan, client service officer at Mediclinic, confirmed that Sibuyi’s condition is stable and that he is being treated in a general ward.
