Villagers cry foul over waste

MANDELA VILLAGE – Residents of this informal settlement are crying foul over the mounting waste here which is causing a lot of mayhem.

“When you hear the word Mandela, the first thing that comes to your mind is the late father of the nation, Nelson Mandela who played a very significant role in making this country a better place. But what is happening in our area, I believe it’s an insult to the global icon,” said one of them, Ms Sarah Silawule.

This comes after the residents of the area claimed that their municipality was failing dismally to meet the needs of the citizens or to improve the standard of service delivery.
