Miss Mpumalanga warns St Mark’s learners in Mbombela against illegal gambling and drugs

From choosing purpose over peer pressure to finding help for addiction, a school outreach in Mbombela equips young people to take control of their future.

The Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, in partnership with the South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, participated in the School Substance Abuse Prevention Day at St Mark’s International School on October 7.

The initiative aimed to educate learners about the dangers and consequences of substance abuse, particularly the risks associated with drug and alcohol use.

Learners were also informed about where and how to access assistance and support services should they be struggling with addiction. Mndebele urges learners to stay focused on goals.
