Promotions company ready to take over the province
It is often said that if women ruled the world, there would be no war, just a bunch of countries not talking to each other. This hasn’t proven to be true in the case of Lioness Promotion.

It is often said that if women ruled the world, there would be no war, just a bunch of countries not talking to each other. This hasn’t proven to be true in the case of Lioness Promotion.
This company is led by two females working together to fulfil the same purpose.
“We are all about uplifting local artists to international standards. Mpumalanga has so much talent unleashing lately, we want to embrace it,” said Co-Owner of the company, Simphiwe Hlabangane, known to her listeners on Ligwalagwala FM as Simmy.
Lungile Mango, known to her listeners in Ligwalagwala FM as Sibukubukwane, also co-owner of the company, says although it can be challenging working as women in such a male dominated company, at the end of the day they love what they do.
“Our characters complement each other, it makes it much easier to work together because we love what we do. It becomes like hot knife through butter,” she said. The duo has worked with bigger names in the gospel industry, Sifiso Ncwane, Indumiso Gospel Group, and the Big Fish, to mention but a few.
“We once organized a killer gospel show at Ground Zero in Matsulu. We themed it Gospel Flavour, and had internationally renowned artist, Flavour as one of the acts to make appearance.
That is how we want to brand ourselves and our events. We organize certain personalities to make appearances so the people can relate to the shows,” added Miss Mango. The pair has recently signed local DJs, Afrotellus, and they are excited about this accomplishment.
“These are talented local DJs, they have a unique set in which they use in their gigs. Playing with four CDJs and two mixers has never been easy for anyone, they make it seem like a walk in the park.
Watchging them play is entertainment on its own, even the deaf would be entertained,” said Miss Hlabangane as she weighed in on the matter.
Lioness Promotions is open for more local artists in need of management and they are determined to take them to greater heights.“We are all about keeping the identity at home while we keep the standards skyrocketing to international levels,” said Gugulethu.
