
MBOMBELA – It’s over a month now since a newly-born baby boy was snatched from his mother at Rob Ferreira Hospital and the family still nurses hopes of the baby’s safe recovery.
The five arrested suspects Messrs Ananias Ndzimba (27), Julius Sithole (25), Phineas Sono (35), Aaron Moyo- Nyoni (20) and Ms Portia Ncube (31) will appear in court today on charges of kidnapping.
Speaking to boy’s grandmother Ms Agnes Matsenjwa Mpumalanga news learnt that besides relying on the police investigations, the family also tried other means to help in the recovery of the toddler. They had consulted with prophets and traditional doctors (tinyanga) to pray with them and even casts spells to determine the whereabouts of the baby.
“We still have hope for the his recovery, we have consulted traditional doctors and prophets and both agreed that the baby is still alive and is kept somewhere,” said Matsenjwa.
