EMBALENHLE- A 19-year-old Secondary School learner from Embalenhle near Secunda is due to appear before the Evander Magistrate’s today in connection with a murder charge.
Information at police disposal revealed that the suspect had an argument with another 19-year-old learner also attending to the same school. “It is alleged that the two learners were involved in a physical fight when the suspect apparently ran to his parental home and returned with a knife and stabbed the other learner,” said Lt Col Leonard Hlathi, police provincial spokesperson.
He added that the victim was rushed to a local clinic but died while receiving treatment
The suspect was traced and arrested on the same day of the incident. Court outcome was not yet known at time of publishing this article.
