MBOMBELA – On Friday, Mpumalanga News’ sister publication, Lowvelder, reported on yet another strike at Rob Ferreira where at least 60 staff members of the hospital, including members of National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) prostested against lack of uniforms, cleaning aids, overtime, computers and medication.
The protest action on Friday was seemingly addressed and calmed, however today the situation at the hospital deteriorated and strikers voiced out their frustrations in what soon became a violent protest.
