MBOMBELA – The Ancyl in the province has come to the defense of the ANC provincial chairperson, Mr David Mabuza.
Mabuza was recently accused of being an apartheid spy, claims which he has rubbished as a smear campaign to tarnish his good name and standing in public.
“We have noted in the past weeks the malicious and vicious attack and accusation of our provincial leader, Cde DD Mabuza as an apartheid spy by the former leader of the province, Mr Mathews Phosa whom in the recent past was confident to appoint the same Cde DD to be part of his cabinet as MEC for education.
As Phosa was confident to work with Mabuza for so many years and never raised this issue hence his actions can be concluded as that of a bitter, self centered and desperate and power monger who struggles to come to terms with the fact that his political career is doomed,” said the youth league’s provincial chairperson, Mr Desmond Moela.
He went on, “the Ancyl will support Mabuza, our provincial chairperson in suing Phosa and will in turn mobilize all young people to attend all court appearances.”
