Premier David Mabuza has joined the rest of the South Africans in applauding the newly crowned Miss World, Rolene Strauss, saying she was a good example of truly coming out of the crowd.

MBOMBELA – Premier David Mabuza has joined the rest of the South Africans in applauding the newly crowned Miss World, Rolene Strauss, saying she was a good example of truly coming out of the crowd.
Strauss, a 22-year old University of the Free State medical student, who hails from Volkrust in the Gert Sibande District, was crowned Miss World on Sunday.
“We pride ourselves with Rolene’s outstanding achievement. She has proved her worth and that it doesn’t matter where you come from, your focused determination can truly make you reach the pinnacle of heights.
“She is a good example of how to come out of the crowd. For us as people of Mpumalanga, this is not another ordinary day; it is something special and new. We congratulate her on her fabulous victory, her achievement is truly commendable and she deserves it,” said Mabuza.
Mabuza further wished her well on her tenure as Miss World, adding that she should continue aiming high as only
the sky is the limit.
“We are behind her. We are aware that she represents the country, but she is our ambassador too,” said Mabuza.
