According to a research conducted last year, Mbombela still has one of the highest divorce rates in the country.

Although the divorce rate could be a result of many reasons, cheating seems to be the one standing out.

Recently we have been swamped with phone calls from spiteful partners spitting fire pleading with us to expose their cheating lovers.

We asked several men why they can’t keep their hands on one cookie jar and as much as their motives may sound so cliché, these men are sticking to their guns.

Here are some of their excuses:

1. Men crave sexual “variety,”

This may sound gluttonous but some say that eating cabbage everyday will only affect ones system negatively so they prefer spicing up their sex life by exploring different menus.

2. “She ain’ t what she used to be.”

Women are accused of going an extra mile in making an effort that they always look attractive before they get married but once they get “what they wanted” they relax and become boring.

3.Men cheat to save their marriages.

This is ironical but some men say they do love their spouses, but they don’t know how to fix their relationship problems, so they go outside their marriages to fill any holes.
Men want it all and have the twisted view that another woman will make the longing for something more disappear. Then, they can live happily ever after with their wife-and their mistress-without confronting the real issues.

4. Nagging wives.

The bible puts it clear,better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife. The males say that nothing will drive a married man into the arms of another woman faster than a nagging wife.

5. It’s the thrill.

Surprisingly, cheating males say nothing comes closer to the pleasure derived from knowing that they might get caught. It’s the ducking and diving that keeps them thrilled and craving for heated moments with a lover. This gels well with the saying,“Forbidden fruit is always very intriguing…though never as tasty as one imagined it would be.”

6.To boost his ego.

Man love feeling like gods in their households and if they are always undermined by their own wives, they try something else that will make them feel like real men and extra marital affairs seem to be filling that gap just fine.

7.To end the relationship.

For some men, it is not easy to tell their partners that the golden cup is broken so they resort to cheating so that the partner can find out and call it quits.

8.To prove his manhood.

Some men think that the more women they have sex with, the more manly they are. They think cheating is a macho thing to do.

9.Love.

How a person can be in love with more than one person is a enigmatic but some men say they cheat because they’re really in love with the other woman.

10. They get tired of this daily phrase, ‘I’ve got a headache tonight’.

Men love their sex and they do not mind getting under the sheets everyday and a woman who can’t keep up, becomes a bore. So, ladies, get fit and dish different flavours of cookies to your husbands.

11. Revenge.

If you thought that it’s all buried in the past, think again. Ninety percent of the men we spoke to say that if their spouses cheated on them before, they can forgive but do it as well just to spite them.
