SWALALA – The Twelve Apostle Church in Christ (TACC) recently hosted a regional choral music competition.

The categories were cothoza mfana, cothoza mama, gospel and traditional.

“The whole objective was the revival of our ethnic music and also to impart knowledge thereof to youngsters,” said Mr Ronny Banda, member of the TACC structure in Mpumalanga.

“It was one of the best competitions that TACC has ever held. People came from all corners of the region and beyond to witness history in the making.
Choirs were all in full attire, well prepared and ready to tackle any chance given to them to present their songs,” said
Prof Sboniso Ngcobo, a judge and music coordinator.

The cothoza mfana and cothoza mama categories were won by the Game Choir.

The KaNyamazane Choir won in the gospel category and the Msogwaba Choir won the traditional category.
