Free health services from Phelophepa Health Train

Doctors and specialists in the train are providing screening for cancer and diabetics, health clinic services, optical eye services, dental services, pharmacy for minor ailments and counselling services

MBOMBELA – The Phelophepa Health Train is finally in Mbombela to bring the much-needed health care services free of charge to thousands of the poor residents.

According to Ms Thuli Lubisi, a representative from the health train, doctors and specialists in the train are providing screening for cancer and diabetics, health clinic services, optical eye services, dental services, pharmacy for minor ailments and counselling services.

Lubisi added that an outreach program will be held at Vulamasango Primary School tomorrow and Lekazi Central next week Tuesday. “We will treat dental and eye problems in those schools, although parents must sign consent forms before we can treat their children,” she adds.

The train is currently stationed s at the Transnet premises until June 12. The following week the train will move to Acornhoek, where services will be rendered until June 26.
