Men fooled by cheap cures

MBOMBELA – After publishing the story about a man who was let down by a herbalist who gave him a concoction that was supposed to enlarge his penis but later resulted in him not being able to have an erection, Mpumalanga News has been swamped with calls from people raising their concerns over the numerous posters in the city advertising these services.
One of the callers was upset about herbalists who took clients for a ride, promising to improve their sex lives by giving them muti which later affected their lives adversely.
“That poor man you wrote about is not the only one who has been disappointed by the herbalist.
I know of many men who approached these muti men for cheaper services only to be left shattered with nowhere to go to correct the mess they have caused,” said Mr Vusi Lubisi.
Lubisi said a vast number of men were under pressure to impress in bed hence they resorted to anything that promised to enhance their sexual endurance.
He attributed the pressure to men from other countries who were known to be naturally extremely active in bed.
“I’m not inciting anything but our brothers from afar come here and once the women see what they have to offer sexually, they tend to prefer them and this causes a huge ego problem for many local men,” he said.
Ironically, the same men flocked to the herbalists who were usually from outside the country for muti which in turn worsened their situation.
Another caller, Ms Thokozile Maluka, said the posters scattered over the city, towns and townships were messy and an unpleasant sight.
“The other day I was driving with my children and after reading one of them which was advertising a cheap penis enlargement and pain-free abortions, my 10-year-old son asked me why a person would want to enlarge his penis.
These posters are full of empty promises and a disgrace and they must go,” added the concerned Maluka.
