KANYAMAZANE – Two suspects arrested last week in connection with a murder of a 29 year –old woman at Zwelisha briefly appeared before the Kanyamazane Magistrate court.
Mr Nkosingiphile Manda(21) from Barberton and Thokozane Nkosi (24) were denied bail on the charges of murder and rape, and they are expected to make their second appearance on Thursday.
The brutal murder of the woman left many residents in shock especially women as they felt that they are no longer safe in this area and are calling on the Department of Justice to act very harsh in sentencing the suspects so that other thugs who still continue to give women sleepless night in the community will learn a lesson.
One of the residents Mr Ronny Mthuthwa said
“I wish that they can get a life sentence they don’t deserve to be in the community .The way they killed that woman shows that they are heartless, they killed a human as if it was just an animal they must rot in jail ”.
The lifeless body of the woman was discovered in a hole by police with numerous stab wounds all over her body including her private parts.
This horrific incident was also condemned by the MEC of Community Safety Security and Liaison Mr Vusi Shongwe and other women’s organizations.
