BUSHBUCKRIDGE- Barely three weeks after two men were stoned and burnt to death following the murder of a 20 year-old pregnant woman, another woman has been killed and mob justice effected to the suspect.
According to Lt Ndlovukazi Mashele spokesperson for the local police the second incident happened at Shatale village on Sunday around 14:30 when the 20-year-old girl who was walking from church to home was approached by the 27 year old man who proposed love to her but after being turned down he apparently got angry and striked the girl with a stone on her head.
“The victim was certified dead on the scene by paramedics, she suffered a head injury,” states Mashele.
This newspaper learnt that hours later angry members of the community hunted down the suspect until they found him from a hiding place where he was brutally assaulted and set light.
Mashele said no one was arrested and police investigations were continuing.
She adds that there were still no arrests made in regard with the first mob justice but investigations were still underway.
