Learners ready to make a difference

This was an eye opener for the participants since they learnt more about crime and now they have bigger dreams with their lives.

WHITE RIVER – Learners from Metropolitan College are committed to eradicating crime in their respective communities.

The proof of the matter lies in the recent graduation of 70 learners who as safety ambassadors through the programme of the National Institute for Crime Prevention and the Reintegration of the Offenders (Nicro).

The institution adopted the school last year after it discovered that there was a need to intervene in schools where learners are giving their teachers a hard time through mischievious behaviour.

This was an eye opener for the participants since they learnt more about crime and now they have bigger dreams with their lives as one of the learners Thandeka Nkosi had this to say:

“I don’t regret that our school was part of the programme. We are thankful for what Nicro has done for us. I have learnt that in order in life to become a better person, I must stay focussed and work hard on my studies at school.“

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
