Lovers found dead

"Good bye world, friends and families sing my favourite song."

LIHAWU – Community members and family members were shocked after two lovers were found dead in their room.

It’s allegedly believed that the boyfriend, who is identified as Bongani Sambo (23), had an argument with his girlfriend when Sambo’s brother tried to intervene and he locked the door and switched on the radio’s volume high and continued the argument with his lover.

Mpumalanga News learnt that after some few minutes, they went quite, but the radio was still on.

It is alleged that during that time, Sambo was busy tussling with his girlfriend until she took her last breath before he committed suicide by hanging himself on the roof inside the bedroom.

This publication also learnt that Sambo knew that he was going to kill himself and his girlfriend because before the incident took place, he allegedly told his sister that she must take his cellphone and his brother must take his girlfriend’s cellphone as he bought for her.

It has been discovered that Sambo updated his status on whatsapp saying: “Good bye world, friends and families sing my favourite song.”

The spokesperson of the local police, Lt Jabu Ndubane confirmed the incident and urged people not to turn a blind eye on domestic violence.

“Family members said they started to notice in the evening because it was dark in the bedroom when they went to investigate, they saw Sambo’s body hanging on the roof and the girlfriend’s lifeless body lying on the bed.”

Ndubane also said that if people are not in a good relationship or are in an abusive relationship, they must move out before it’s
too late.
