Accident claims three lives

According to police reports, two passengers were certified dead on scene and the third one died at the Themba Hospital.

PIENAAR – Three people died after a drinking spree from a local tavern. They died after the car they were travelling in lost control and capsized several times.

According to the police spokesperson, Lt Jabu Ndubane, police will still take blood samples from the deceased to confirm if the driver was driving under the influence or not.


This incident happened just two days after a Somalian national was arrested after he lost control of his car a hit a child. The child died on the scene.


Ndubane said they have discovered that most Somalians and other foreign nationals don’t have valid drivers licence and were in the country illegally.
