DA calls president to appoint a new premier

"President Zuma must stop putting his interest first,“ said Mr James Masango."

MBOMBELA – The DA in the province has called upon the president of the ANC, Mr Jacob Zuma to appoint a premier for Mpumalanga.

The call of the party came at the time where Zuma was supposed to attend a funding raising gala dinner of the party at Mbombela stadium, last Friday, but he was replaced by the Minister in the Presidency, Mr Jeff Radebe.

DA has stated that they want Zuma to appoint a new premier because the current premier is unable to execute his mandated duties in parliament and the province.

This comes after Mabuza again cancelled his scheduled and last answer session in the legislature last week Thursday.

”This province needs a leadership that will advance the cause of the poor, someone that would ensure that service delivery is their number one priority. President Zuma must stop putting his interest first,“ said Mr James Masango.

Mpumalanga News learnt that Mabuza was on sick leave for almost three months but he came back to work last month where he was welcomed as a hero by citizens and members of the ruling party at Goven Mbeki Foyer at the legislature.

Delivering his speech, Mabuza was quoted saying: “I am back strong and ready to work. Those who were doing as they pleased, they must know that the cat is back.“
