NLM warns of job scam
The Nkomazi Local Municipality (NLM) has issued out a stern warning to local residents about an ongoing job scam.

MBOMBELA – According to the Municipality, a man who refers to himself as Xolane Shabangu or NJ Nkuna, has been luring people to send money to his bank accounts so they could secure jobs at the municipality or in government.
“We received calls from the community informing us about the scam, we immediately called the number and the guy picked up.
“Upon realizing that he was busted, he switched both his phones off. We appeal to the community to stay away from such traps,” said NLM Spokesperson, Mr Cyril Repinga.
Repinga also confirmed that a couple of people have already paid cash into the accounts respectively.
“Some have paid money ranging from R500 to R1000, it’s really sad that our people are desperate and would do anything to get jobs. We hope this will be enough to stop them from falling for it,” he added.
