More than 200 elderly residents join KaNyamazane fun walk
Lowveld senior citizens show that age doesn’t have to limit them.
The KaNyamazane Community Health Centre (CHC) clinic committee hosted an elderly citizens’ fun walk on Wednesday, August 26.
The initiative aims to promote healthy ageing, physical activity and community participation among elderly residents.

Walkers, people aged 60 and above, gathered at the BP fuel station and headed to the CHC.
Turnout exceeds expectations
CHC’s Gugu Malope said that organisers expected around 100 participants. The turnout of 205 made the event a great success.

“We are planning to host another walk next year, and the aim is to host it every year,” she said.
Malope encouraged the elderly to keep moving and stay active so that they can live better.
