Khathide to polish marriages in Mbombela

Marriages and relationships on the brink of collapse should hold on until Saturday as hope will be restored for couples in the city.

MBOMBELA – Marriages and relationships on the brink of collapse should hold on until Saturday as hope will be restored for couples in the city.

Celebrity pastor Agrippa Khathide will be among speakers who will dish out sound advice at the Love, Sex and Relationships seminar to be held at Casambo at 17:00 on Saturday.

Renowned for putting sex and sexual matters in the spotlight, the “No sex in heaven” pastor will give tips on how to keep the matrimonial bed spiced up and holy.

According to the organisers of the event, Ms Sylvia Masango and Doreen Mdhluli, it’s worrying to see married couples getting divorced at such an alarming rate hence she came up with the idea of this seminar in an attempt to assist people with advice.

“There’s a number of challenges that may lead to breaking a marriage and they will be discussed during the seminar, so we invite as many people as possible.

Even those who are in healthy relationships are welcome to equip themselves for the beautiful journey called marriage,” says Masango, adding that social media and sexual matters play a huge role in the high divorce rate.

Other sensitive issues including stepchildren, friends, in-laws and other contributing factors will be tackled in that evening.

The seminar, Masango says, is not only open for married couples, but for singles as well.

“It’s about time people get prepared for marriage before they stumble into it with no clue of what to expect,” she adds.

Also on the speakers’ list will be Past Goodman Mokoena, Naledi Zwane, Faith Mogane and Celani Dube.

Topics to be discussed include “Overcoming relationship breakers”, “Don’t be a woman who needs a man, be a woman a man needs”, “What do men want from women” and “How to run a successful business as a couple”.

Hosted by Ligwalagwala FM’s Pretty D, it’s gonna be a Blue jeans and White affair with entertainment galore, with Neri Chawane, Dumisani and Busi Thwala rocking the stage.

Tickets available at all Sneakers Edition outlets for R180 per person and R320 per couple.
