Registration for elections underway

On Monday, members of the ruling party visited Acornhoek, within the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality where they addressed learners, especially those doing matric.

BARBERTON – This coming weekend citizens of this country are expected to come in numbers to their voting stations  to check their names on the voters roll and  new voters will get the opportunity to register.

This is part and parcel in preparations for the local government elections that are expected to be held later this year.

Different political parties are also canvasing for new potential voters. The ANC and its youth wing were hard at work trying to attract new voters within their ranks.

On Monday, members of the ruling party visited Acornhoek, within the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality where they addressed learners, especially those doing matric.

The youth league was also spotted at the Barberton TVET College  where they were encouraging young people to register to vote and also reminding them about the importance of taking part in the upcoming elections.
