Retrieve the trapped miners or shut down-Cosatu

Members of the Congress of South African Trade Union (Cosatu) have given Lily Mine management until Wednesday to retrieve the miners.

MBOMBELA – Members of the Congress of South African Trade Union (Cosatu) have given Lily Mine management until Wednesday to retrieve the miners who have been trapped since February.

The members marched to the mine’s offices on Sunday demanding that the three trapped miners, Yvonne Mnisi, Solomon Nyarenda and Pretty Nkambule be retrieved or they’ll force the mine to shut down.

According to Cosatu, the mine has not done enough to recover the victims of the collapse that took place more than four months ago.
