Heidel eggs employees strike over salary increament
This comes after workers were offered a six percent increase in July and they are not satisfied as they initially demanded a 10 percent increase, including 50 percent bonuses in December for the festive season.

WHITE RIVER – Workers at Hiedel Eggs company have downed tools.
This comes after workers were offered a six percent increase in July and they are not satisfied as they initially demanded a 10 percent increase, including 50 percent bonuses in December for the festive season.
Employees also demand to have their own provident funds, and not the company’s one.
General Industries Workers Union of South Africa (GIWUSA) branch secretary, Theresa Gogo said they are sticking to their demands and they will not change anything as the company makes millions of rand. “The employer must pay his employees what they deserve,” she said.
Attempts to get hold of management proved futile as their phone rang unanswered.
