Golf club commits to transformation
A core of 20 caddies will receive a basic salary on condition that they carry at least eight times in the duration of one month.
MBOMBELA – When Sanco, Ancyl and the EFF staged an anti-racism march against the Nelspruit Golf Club (NGC) and the City of Mbombela Local Municipality (CMLM) on March 11, their demands did not fall on deaf ears.
Today, a historical transformation of the NGC was announced during a joint press conference held at the golf estate.
It was attended by representatives from the above organisations, including NGC management, Mr Robert Gumede, executive mayor Cllr Sibusiso Mathonsi, whereby, a formal apology to the victim, Mr Jabulani Mabilane, was conducted by NGC.
