Slums burnt down due to illegal connections
Illegal electricity connection left residents homeless

EMBALENHLE- Six families were left homeless after a fire allegedly caused by illegal power connections burnt down their slums at Extension 6, in Mandela Section on Wednesday.

According to community members they tried to control the fire, but their efforts were just not enough, and as a results they have lost all their belongings.

The DA ward Cllr Tony Mabizela said at this stage the affected families are place in a temporary shelter and they have provided them with food and blankets
