Matt Beers of the New Africa Development from Mbombela is the overall winner of the 2018 Mbombela Cycle Tour.

His victory came by when he rode past all the top six cyclists yesterday  morning during the 197 km ride from Belfast to Loskop Dam.

He was  victorious on the last 2km before the finishing line. He was followed shortly by Jarde Julius of the Pro Touch team from Gauteng.

The  winners received  their awards  at a gala dinner last night attended by MEC for  the department of Culture, Sports and  Recreation, Ms Norah Mahlangu.
