Admission crisis continues at Nelspruit Primary School

It is exactly four days since parents have been queuing at the school hoping their little ones will be placed in classrooms and start grade 1.

The department of education assures parents that those who reside within the radius of the school will be considered for admission by January 27.

Circuit manager in the Ehlanzeni district, Musa Lingwati was addressing parents at the reception this morning. He mentioned that there is a waiting period of ten days, therefore, parents should not panic. ” Children will be placed at various schools around town but those that live closer will be accomodated.  The main challenge is that many parents applied using false information and it is unfortunate that that their children have already been placed,” he said.

A verification procedure is underway for those parents whose children are on the waiting list.
