Meet the province’s new Municipal Mayors
After the provincial working committee had visited all the municipalities in the province, the PEC resolved issues by redeploying the executive mayors in all four municipalities.
The ordinary provincial executive committee meeting of the African National Congress in Mpumalanga was held in eMalahleni and the PEC engaged on some issues and reports affecting the organisation.One of the issues highlighted was the management of municipalities.

Meet the new Mayors of the four Municipalities.
In the Nkomazi Local Municipality, Johan Mkhatshwa from the Provincial Legislature was deployed to Nkomazi Local Municipality as the Executive Mayor.
In eMalahleni, Linah Malatjie has been redeployed from Nkangala District Municipality to eMalahleni as the new Executive Mayor.
In the Nkangala District Municipality, Sarah Masilela was deployed to be the new Executive Mayor of Nkangala District Municipality.
In Steve Tshwete Local Municipality Tsietsi Tolo was deployed as the new Mayor of Steve Tshwete Local Municipality.
In the Lekwa Local Municipality, Khosi Khotha was redeployed to be the Executive Mayor of Lekwa local Municipality.
It is said that the changes were made to strengthen governance and to also ensure that service delivery to the people is maximised towards 2019 and beyond.
