Six killed while fixing a stuck bakkie

Four of the deceased were occupants of the sedan who were trying to help the bakkie that reportedly had a mechanical challenge.

Six males were killed on D812 road yesterday when a vehicle coming from Kabokweni towards the R40 crashed on two stationery vehicles.

“One bakkie was stuck on the road and a sedan stopped by to assist. In the process another vehicle crashed into the occupants of the two stationary vehicles killing all six of them instantly,” said Mr Moeti Mmusi, a communication’s officer from the department of community safety security and liaison.

The accident happened around 22:00 on Sunday.

The other two males were occupants of a bakkie and were Zimbabwean nationals.

Two others were slightly injured, they were rushed to Themba Hospital.
