Gruesome discovery of covered dead body behind Msogwaba tavern

Police are investigating a case of murder following the discovery of an unknown body on Tuesday.

Pienaar police are investigating a case of murder following the discovery of an unknown man’s body behind a local tavern.

He was wearing an Orlando Pirates T-shirt and black tracksuit. His lifeless body had been covered with blankets.

The discovery was made on August 13 about 19:30.

Capt Jabu Ndubane, spokesperson for the Pienaar Cluster, alleged that the man had been found stealing from a certain house and was cornered by the members of the community who assaulted him until he died.

“Upon realising that he had died he was dragged and hidden at the back of the tavern. He sustained injuries on his head and bruises all over his body,” said Ndubane.

No arrests have been made so far.
