Watch: Workers down tools at shopping centre project
They are also complaining about people from in and around the ward not being given employment opportunities at the construction site.
MBOMBELA – Early this morning community members from Nelsville and surrounding areas protested at the entrance of the site where a shopping centre is under construction.

According to employees, reasons behind the protest include the appointment of the Community Liaison Officer, the main contractor of the project and ward councillor.
Entry to the site is currently blocked.
