Ngalutfota Lolumanti actor to be laid to rest this weekend
His character, Jabulani, had become synonymous with the sounds of the drama and resonated well with the listeners who allowed him into their homes for almost three decades.
MBOMBELA – Ligwalagwala FM’s radio drama, Ngalutfota Lolumanti, has lost another cast member.
Gilbert Ntokozo Khumalo, popularly known for his character in the SiSwati radio drama, Jabulani Juluka Mona, passed away last Saturday.
He joined the station in 1990 where he played various roles over the years. His character, Jabulani, had become synonymous with the sounds of the drama and resonated well with the listeners who allowed him into their homes for three decades.

“This comes as a great loss, not only to the station, but to the listeners he had endeared himself to. His contribution to the development of SiSwati radio drama will forever be cherished. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends and may God comfort them in this trying time,” said the station manager, Rio Mabunda.
In November last year, Emelinah Nhleko, who was popularly known as LaMabuza, also passed away after a long illness.

Khumalo’s memorial service will be held at the Msogwaba community hall today from 12:00.
The funeral will be held at the same venue on Saturday, October 26 at 06:00.
