SASSA hit by school uniform fake news

The South African Social Security Agency(SASSA) advises the public not to share a message that has been circulating on WhatsApp.

A fake news text is circulating on social media indicating that SASSA is offering free uniforms and stationery to learners .

“We can confirm that this message is fake and wishes to distance itself from it. It i disturbing that some insensitive people find time to make up such fake news and play with emotions of the needy,” reads a statement issued by SASSA.
