Two suspected cases of the Coronavirus registered in eSwatini

The two suspected cases involve a woman who had travelled to from Denmark and the other who had visitors from Germany.

The Ministry of Health in eSwatini has confirmed that two suspected cases of the Coronavirus have been registered.

Two women between the ages of 38 and 39 showed signs and symptoms of the virus. The 39-year-old woman has returned from Denmark on March 7. The other had visitors from Germany who reported respiratory illnesses two weeks ago  while in the country but have since left.

According to the Ministry of Health, both women have been socially isolated pending results.

“The Rapid Response Team is closely following them frequently and monitoring their clinical condition while awaiting the laboratory results. The ministry requests everyone who has had recent travel to affected countries within the last two weeks to report to health facilities immediately for care should they not feel well,” reads a statement from the Ministry of Health.
