[VIDEO:] Premier launches provincial app to fight Covid-19 pandemic

The app will assist the province track Covid-19 cases and respond to patients with medical attention at their location.

MBOMBELA – Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane launched the Covid-19 application, Siyoyinqoba Sonke with the MEC of Health, Sasekani Manzini at the newly built Tech-Lab with a call centre at the Government Complex today.

The app will assist the province in tracking the Covid-19 cases and respond to patients with medical attention at their location. Members of the community can download the app from this afternoon in Google and IOS App Stores. Members of the community can report cases in real time.

“We’ve made significant progress in our commitment strategy with mass screenings distribution of sanitisers. We will supplementing our strategy with technological advancement with the Siyanqoba Sisonke app. The app will collect the latest Covid-19 data so that clinical teams can swiftly respond to communities. The data collected will be disseminated in real time. The app will  automate data management as part of the provincial Covid-19 response to real time information and deploy recourses where there are needed,” said the premier.

She further said that there will is a dashboard that will have indicate all the seven hotspots in all municipalities. It also has the capacity to enable clinical workers to check readiness assessment of health facilities that is ready to administer a patient.
