Second annual family picnic fest a must-attend

Several gospel performers will appear at the second Annual Family Picnic Fest billed for March 26 at the Nutting House Lodge, just outside the city.

MBOMBELA – Proudly presented by Presel Productions in collaboration with STE Music and the MTPA, this gospel music picnic is a mustattend, simply because it boasts some of the top-of-the-shelf artists in the industry.

Dr Tumi, Khaya Mthethwa, Sam Ndlovu, Mabongi Fero, Nkomazi Voice of Praise, Milly LaNdaba, Pretty Mhlongo, Reshen Music, and many more award-winning musicians will form part of the line-up.

“The Annual Family Picnic Fest is a multigenerational celebration that includes visiting tourism locations, education, food, fashion, music, history, and engaging and entertaining activities for families and children. The first event took place in 2020, and because of Covid-19 restrictions, we had to conduct it virtually,” said the event coordinator, Selby Mhlongo.

“We want to find new talent while also sustaining community stability by creating family unity through our abilities, talents and ministry, encouraging people to keep aware of the national pandemic, and increasing awareness about child and woman abuse.

“We also aim to revitalise our tourism spots and show Mpumalanga through our eyes, by so doing, reinventing South African culture.”
