‘Intontolozi’ contains a special message

Maskandi superstars, King Sisonke and Ntombizimceluthando’s new hit, “Intontolozi” contains a special message for women.

This new hit song, which is already the talk of the town, is all about encouraging women to go back to the traditions and cherish their bodies and above all, to always dress in a dignified manner.

“Intontolozi” has attracted many individuals in Mbombela, including taxi operators who play it on their daily travels while transporting commuters.

“The song is about encouraging our society, especially women and young girls to embrace our African culture by dressing properly,” said the lead singer, Shadreck Thobela, also known by his stage name King Sisonke. He continued,

“Culture is really important and it is critical that our children and women be educated on it. Things aren’t the same as they were when our forefathers were alive. Today women dress up any how, which in most cases attracts problems in their lives. So, the song intends to encourage them to bring back the sense of respecting our bodies and the start is to dress up nicely and properly.”

King Sisonke began singing at a young age, with a group of boys doing isicathamiya. “My first album, Siyabonga Jesu, was released in 2012, followed by my second one titled Hulumende in 2013.

This album became a hit as well with the general public showing much love. I have been composing new material every year. ‘Intontolozi’ was actually released in 2021 and I consider it to be my breakthrough song because it attracted a large number of fans and was better received than all the other albums and tracks,” King Sisonke said. “I am extremely delighted to be a part of ‘Intontolozi’,” said Ntombizimceluthando. “I am a huge fan of and supporter of culture. Our black culture, I hope, will be restored with respect and dignity,” he continued with a smile.
