Karate kids kick it up a notch

After the victory, their chief instructor, Sifiso Sindane, expressed his excitement.

Karatekas of the Universal Shotokan Karate Union Dojo in KaNyamazane showed off some of their many talents during a grading test in Secunda.

The event took place at Embalenhle Sasol Recreational Centre on Saturday May 7.

Sensei Sifiso Sindane said these students qualified for their respective levels and represented their township well.

“All 18 participants passed their grading with two of them passing their black belt tests.” Sindane said he is extremely happy about the team’s progress and achievements.

“I am overjoyed about the children’s commitment to training. Learning the art of karate will go a long way in their life. They will continue to perform well at school. I see future champions from our townships.”
