Mkhondo netball and soccer teams participate in PG Bison Knockout Cup

It was a fun-filled tournament for both the players and spectators.

The PG Bison Knockout Cup tournament took place from Saturday to Sunday May 21 to 22 at Kempville Stadium. This allowed many soccer and netball teams around Mkhondo to battle for the ultimate prize.

On the day, meals were provided for children and community members as well as soccer and netball kits for all the participants.

Total Football United team hold the check awarded for being the winning soccer team.

Total Football United soccer team and Ndlela Secondary School netball team took home the winning trophies and R15 000 for each team.

The second and third places were not left out. Kunene Football Club and Ubuhlebuzile Secondary School netball team occupied the second places and took home R10 000 each while India Kilo Football Club and Mlilo Comprehensive School netball team received R5 000 each.

According to a press release from PG Bison, the Local Football Association deputy chairperson Jonny Nkosi said they were thankful for the successful tournament.

“As the football association, we are grateful for the tournaments and a great turnout. Since these games will be held annually, we call upon all other soccer and netball teams to register with the association in order to be recognised for future games. We appreciate what PG Bison did for our community.”
