IN PHOTOS: Lowveld Walkers undertake Healthy Lifestyle Walk from Pienaar to Empakeni

The aim of the walk was to encourage a healthy lifestyle in the community.

Lowveld Walkers hosted their Healthy Lifestyle Walk on Saturday June 18. Participants could choose out of distances of 10km, 15km and 21km.

 


According to Joseph Mashaba, the founder of the organisation, it was a great event. “We started walking from Bonginhlanhla Secondary School in Pienaar to Mthetho Omusha Road in Empakeni and back.”

According to him, their next event will be held on Saturday June 25 and participants are encouraged to wear black.

“We will be raising awareness and encouraging men to speak up when they face challenges. This walk will be under the theme ‘Asikhulumeni madodza and bafana’ (let us speak out, men and boys).
