MEC wages war against potholes in Balfour

Mohita Latchminarain tackled some potholes in Balfour on a provincial tour and will go out to Matibidi and Marloth Park next week to continue this drive.

The MEC for public works, roads and transport, Mohita Latchminarain, took up the fight against potholes on the R51 in Balfour once again.

In the MEC’s drive to keep these roads in good repair, she was joined by Cllr Khethiwe Moeketsi, the executive mayor of Dipaleseng Local Municipality.

Latchminarain will embark on yet another war against the poor states of roads in the province as she visits other municipalities.

She has vowed to change Mpumalanga’s road network. “We acknowledge that it is a mammoth task, especially under current economic situations, yet we are equal to the task. We will continuously try in all our capacity to fight the bad states of roads in the province,” she said as she rolled up her sleeves and unpacked an asphalt bag.
