Emoyeni Regional Mall donates 40 food parcels to community members

The donation was a celebration of Tata Nelson Mandela's birthday celebration.

Serving the Nsikazi community has become Emoyeni Regional Mall’s culture as its management donated 40 much-needed food parcels to households in celebration for Mandela Month. The hand over took place on Friday July 29.

The mall’s marketing manager, Nomfundo Zitha, said the shopping mall has become a community elevating hub. “We have become an institution that serves the public. We saw it fit to do our bit in celebrating Mandela Month by giving what we can. We donated food parcels with essentials for suitable for most households. We worked closely with the ward councillors to identify the most underprivileged households in Emoyeni,” Zitha said.

The beneficiaries collected the food parcels at the mall and were elated to have received them. “These parcels will go a long way for some of us because we will only add a few things as the month goes by. We appreciate the help we receive from our local mall,” said one of the beneficiaries.
