KaNyamazane gospel singer ministers the Word through music
Sandy Simelane said that he found his calling through gospel music.

Sandy Simelane has found his home in gospel music as he ministers the Word through worship and praise.
Growing up in a household filled with music and strong Christian beliefs, the delightful Simelane has found his path. “I tried various music genres, but they did not work out until I concentrated on making gospel music. Everything worked out perfectly and I knew then that I had found my calling,” he said.
The 27-year-old recently released the music video for his debut single, “Umuhle”, available on YouTube. He said he released the song in July last year and has seen his family and community of KaNyamazane appreciating his music.
“I wrote and recorded ‘Umuhle’ a long time ago, and I never thought it would be such an amazing song. I did not struggle composing it, and everyone who got the chance to listen said it would be my debut song. I believe that it was God affirming to me that I am on the right direction.”
He said he took a break from music because of his father’s passing in 2021. “It was the toughest period in my life, because I lost the hero I looked up to and he passed on at the time I had embarked on this journey. My father was a worship leader and a minister. He took me under his wing as a way to show me direction and I learnt a lot of him about music.”

“I realised that the music journey with my father has become a personal one. That sad time pushed me to sing more and honour him through what we both loved. I managed to record and produce my very own album titled ‘The Pasture’. It was released in October last year and contains 10 songs that are a message from the Word of God. It is an amazing album with a unique gospel sound, and on it I ministered a lot, it is not just just singing. It is a great project to uplift one’s spirit.”

Simelane has been ministering and performing his music at church conferences and is ready to travel around the world to share the Word through music. “I am planning to host conferences to help people find their purpose through my ministry.”
