Nsikazi musician elated about new song with Mduduzi Ncube

Mcebisi Zulu's new single titled will drop on Friday.

The singer and songwriter, Mcebisi Zulu, known as Mcebisi Kingdryer, is taking his music career to the next level with a collaboration with one of KZN’s musical artist, Mduduzi Ncube.

This is a milestone for the Afro-pop musician and he is thrilled to have such an opportunity to learn from a successful musician. “I admire Ncube and his music and I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with him alongside my longtime friend in music, Musa Masaja known as Mr Chozen. The song is titled “Sondela Skhulume” and set to be released on Friday September 2.

“The song is about love and and the importance of communication within a relationship. It will be available on music streaming sites. I cannot wait to for the world to enjoy the beautiful song,” Zulu said.

The 25-year-old is originally from KZN where he began his music journey singing at school and church. He never gave up singing when he relocated to Emgcobaneni, a village near Chochocho, in 2007.

“I enjoyed singing and always participated in school and church choirs. My love of singing has allowed me to have a career in music. I released my debut single titled “Ucel’idate” and then an EP in 2020 called “Amalobolo” . My biggest project was released in 2021 with 17 tracks and is titled Uyingilosi. The same year I released the track that got my name to be known by many called Amathemba featuring Jaira Musiq,” Zulu said.

He has more music with local artists such as “Ngixolele” with DJ Tpz, Rambo S and Kathwane Imbongi and another song called “Ubekade’khona” with Musiholiq and Passion Master.

Zulu said that he wishes to travel around the country and neighbouring countries to share his music and interact with more lovers of Afro-pop music.
