UPDATE: N4 between Mara Road and Mabalel Lodge reopened

A collision between two trucks claimed two lives. Emer-G-Med confirmed their deaths.

More than 12 hours of recovery of a truck accident, the N4 between the Mara Road and Mabalel Lodge, is operational. TRAC N4 advised motorists to approach that section of the road cautiously as the westbound slow lane towards Mbombela is still closed.

The closure was due to the fatal collision and fire between two trucks, one carrying logs and the other carrying chrome on October 4.

Both drivers were certified dead on the scene, while one was burnt beyond recognition, confirmed by the Emer-G-Med.
