Woman’s body found in General Street in Barberton

The police have confirmed a hit-and-run case.

The body of an unknown woman was discovered in General Street in Barberton on the morning of November 25.

According to a provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the police received a report of the death.

“On arrival at the scene, the police found a lot of people pointing at the deceased next to the road. It appears that the deceased was knocked down by an unknown vehicle and died on the scene.”

The deceased has not been identified.
