Bushbuckridge SAPS in pursuit of 4 robbers of taxi heading to Mozambique

Some robbers targeted a taxi with 16 commuters in Bushbuckridge. Passports, cellphones and cash were taken.

The Bushbuckridge SAPS is on a manhunt for four suspects who targeted a taxi occupied by 16 foreign nationals heading to Mozambique on December 15.

The suspects took the commuters’ passports and cellphones, as well as an undisclosed amount of cash, when the taxi stopped at a fuel station in Ga-Relane in Bushbuckridge.

According to a provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the taxi was on its way from Acornhoek when the driver noticed flashing lights from a white Toyota light delivery vehicle in his rear-view mirror. The driver reached a fuel station at which he thought it safe to stop.
